Counsellors - Student Advocacy Counsellor
I have been counselling children and youth in various capacities for over fifteen years. I got my start in 2000 working as a summer camp counsellor on beautiful Lake Wenatchee in Washington State. I spent five summers working there falling in love with mentoring young people. I also spent time working for the Idaho School for the Deaf and Blind and the Idaho Youth Ranch before making my move to Canada. In 2008 after becoming a permanent resident of Canada I started working full time for the Youth Assessment Centre in Lac La Biche where I continue to work part time today.
I am now in my second year serving as the Student Advocacy Counsellor at Vera M. Welsh School where I am able to be a part of an amazing team, working together to support our students.
