  • 2012-2013 School Supplies

    Preorder your school supplies for the 2012-2013 year.

    Vera M Welsh Elementary School has partnered with Value Drug Mart to provide parents with the option of preordering school supplies for the 2012-2013 school year. 10% of the sales will be returned to the school as a fundraiser. Supplies will be packaged in cardboard briefcases waiting for the students on the first day of school.

  • 2011/2012 Memory Book

    Each memory book has 32 black & white pages of individual activities. Delivery date will be early September 2012. Grade 3 orders will be delivered to Central School. $15.00/each, payments can be made to VMW School and are due on Wednesday, June 22, 2012.

Welcome to Vera M. Welsh School, Lac La Biche, Alberta!  

We are a K - 3 Elementary School located in Lac La Biche, Alberta, Canada.

Vera M. Welsh Elementary School has a student population of 410 students with a staff of 29 teachers and a support staff of 21.

We are a school that loves reading,  Our goal this year is to read 110,000 books at home!  We know we can do it!  We are very proud of our literacy and Music and Physical Education programs.

Our academic curriculum is balanced with a strong Moral Education program.  Our school virtues are:   EMPATHY- CONSCIENCE - KINDNESS -SELF-CONTROL - RESPECT.
