VMW Student Belongings

Dear Parents & Guardians,

First of all, we want to thank you for your support during these unprecedented times.   This has been a difficult time for all and we appreciate your patience.   We miss our students dearly and yearn for the days when we are all together again.  As difficult as this is for all of us we know it is for the best and wish you and your families the best of health and happiness.  

This message pertains to our VMW School process for picking up your child's belongings/supplies for our Preschool and K-3 students.  You will be able to pick up your possessions here at the school on Monday, March 23rd, or your child's bus driver will deliver them on Tuesday March 24th.

At School Pick Up on Monday, March 23rd  (times: 8:30 - 9:30 am, 12:30 pm- 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm) 

In order to support public health, we will need to limit the number of parents inside the school at any one time so we can maintain the social distancing guidelines recomended by AHS.  We are asking you all to please, for health/safety reasons, have only one parent/guardian pick up the items and please do not bring children to the school.  We are hoping to make this process as quick as possible for you, and we kindly ask you to keep in mind social distancing with other parents and staff, and to please refrain from congregating/socializing during your pick up time

We will be set up right inside the front entrances and have the student belongings organised and ready by the doors for parent pick up.   Please practice good hand hygiene on entering and exiting the school.

Our Kindergarten (including preschool and OMW) and Grade 3 Pick up locations will be at the main doors and we will have staff there to assist you.  The pick up times will take place from 8:30 am until 9:30 am and again from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm.  Pick up will also be available from 4:00 pm until 4:30 pm. 

Our Grade 1 and Grade 2 Pick up locations will be at the North doors (nearest the parent parking lot) and we will have staff there to assist you.  The pick up times will take place from 8:30 am until 9:30 am and again from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm.  Pick up will also be available from 4:00 pm until 4:30 pm. 

Again thank you for your patience and support as we work our way through these difficult times.  Please understand that our goal is to keep all as safe as possible. 

Bus Delivery on Tuesday, March 24th

For students who normally take the bus to and/or from school, bus drivers will deliver student belongings that are not picked up, to students on their routes on Tuesday March 24th.  Parents will be contacted by bus drivers to confirm drop off locations and times.

If you would like your child's bus driver to deliver your child's possessions, then please wait for them to call you and make arrangements with them for delivery to your home.  Bus drivers will contact parents about the time and location of delivery. They may not be able to go door to door for all deliveries. For some rural routes and a few places in town (cul de sacs), etc. they may need to drop off at the end of a driveway or sidewalk. Parents will be contacted by the bus drivers to confirm the locations and time
